I've been gardening here at my home in Cambridge for a number of years now, and looking back, I've always kept a garden journal to help me organize what, when and where I planted the variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Documenting what I've done in the past has been a great resource for me to plan my future endeavors. The only challenge I've had with this is that sometimes I'm out in the garden sketching things out with a piece of paper and pencil with the intention of adding the info into the Journal. Most of the time it gets in there, but other times I'll loosely put the piece of paper inside the house and then it gets lost.
This year, and for the foreseeable future, my plan is to be a bit more disciplined in documenting my garden work and adding it to this Blog. So why am I creating this blog? Two reasons. One is that it will help me stay better organized and hopefully my process will be informative and of interest to you.
So, my vision for this Blog is to share the following:
- Steps I will take to create my Cambridge Urban Garden.
- Garden to table... Share not only my yields, but also some great FOOD recipes
- Observations and Images of other gardens
- Container and general yard upkeep
In the meantime I hope everyone will find this interesting and informative. Please share with any of your friends who might find it of interest.
