My Garden Spaces

Given that I live in the city, and that my house sits on an odd lot, my garden is a bit unconventional in that it is not located in one spot.  It is spread out over different areas around my house to optimize my land and where I believe the mix of sun and shade is at its best.  I've also taken advantage of space right next to my house, specifically next to my heat exhaust vents.  With an urban garden be creative with your garden placement.  Don't feel constricted or confined to one area, but spread out your plantings based upon what you want to grow.

I incorporate both raised and flat garden beds and will discuss more about my raised garden beds, their construction and the soil & compost mix used in a future blog entry.  For this blog entry, I'd like to share a few images of my garden beds as they looked two days ago.  It is my intent to share and show you how I will get these garden beds ready for the planting I will do in a month.

Here is a look at my Garden Spaces.
